Trauma & PTSD

All of our providers have extensive experience working with individuals who have had exposure to traumatic events resulting in PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). Many different types of situations may cause PTSD, and it is one of the most common reasons that clients seek mental health care. As such, our therapists continue to receive updating training on treatments for PTSD so that we can offer the most current therapy options to our clients.

A number of our providers are trained in EMDR, DBT, as well as in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other specific trauma treatment techniques.

We also offer an innovative trauma recovery program for women (TESD) described here and here. TESD is an integrated mind-body treatment program that uses a blend of individual and small group sessions to facilitate healing. The program has demonstrated overwhelmingly positive results in fostering healing, and as such has received global attention for its mind-body approach.
