Katy Howe, M.S.W., LICSW

Hello!  I completed my Masters of Social Work degree at The University of Vermont in 2005, and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Vermont since 2008.  I was fortunate enough to work as an Outreach Worker for the past 17 years, serving young families and individuals in Addison County.  I am excited to start on this new chapter providing office-based therapy at Stone House Associates.  

I believe that every person is the expert on their own lives, and I hope to foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship with you that allows you to identify your goals and take steps towards achieving them.  I believe that connectedness is strongly linked to growth and healing, and hope to support you in building connections both in and outside of the therapeutic relationship.  My strengths based, individualized and trauma informed approach draws from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.  Particular areas of interest include work with transition aged youth, adjustment to life transitions, parenting challenges, and perinatal and postpartum support.  

I also offer professional consultation to Social Workers and Clinical Mental Health Counselors, so please reach out to discuss what you are looking for! 

I will be in the office 3-4 days a week, and will offer some telehealth appointments.  I accept Vermont Medicaid, BCBS-VT, Cigna, & MVP.  I offer a sliding scale fee for out-of-pocket services.  I look forward to connecting with you!
