First and foremost – Welcome! Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing and moving forward. I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and I’m here to work with you on (and challenge you on) your goals, whatever they may be. Whether that is just wanting to feel better day to day, or working through a major life transition (I’m looking at you Covid-19), I will offer you a safe space to break down the barriers and masks we sometimes wear in order to get through our daily lives. Empowerment comes from opening up and using your voice to confront the feelings we hide, whether it be out of shame, fear or anger. It is through your voice that you can let go of what is holding you back and allow the healing to begin.

There is no cookie-cutter approach in life, and that is the same with therapy. My work is trauma informed and although I may pull from multiple theoretical perspectives, I am mainly Cognitive Behavioral based. I will tailor our work together based on your personality, strengths and your personal goals. I am straightforward in my approach, but also have a good sense of humor. There may be tears. There may be laughter. But most of all, there will be support for you as you move through whatever may have brought you to seek out therapy.

I’m originally from South Carolina, though I always knew my heart was in New England. I graduated in 2014 from Winthrop University with my Master’s in Education in Community Mental Health Counseling. I’ve lived in Vermont for the past 5 years with my long time partner and now our Covid-19 adopted fur baby, Moo.

I currently accept BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, MVP, Medicaid and welcome inquiries regarding my services. I can be reached at tbelcher@StoneHouseAssociates.com or at (802) 654-7607 ext 137.
