We are delighted to announce two new additions to our team of highly skilled licensed mental health professionals:
Genna Durante, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist-doctorate who specializes in the care and treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Durante’s approach focuses on helping young people to bring their lives into balance, and she works frequently with youth experiencing anxiety, OCD, adjustment issues, impulsivity, social problems, life transitions, behavioral challenges, special healthcare needs, and sleep disturbances. Dr. Durante believes that children communicate their needs through their behavior, and she works closely with parents and caregivers to develop a deeper understanding of their child’s needs so that they can improve parenting practices, strengthen attachment relationships, and communicate healthy boundaries. Dr. Durante utilizes several treatment modalities. She also offers school consultation services.
Lisa C. Harrington, PMHNP-BC, CNM, MSN, MPH, MA., joins Stone House Associates with over 25 years of experience in health care as a clinician, researcher, educator and administrator. After receiving a Joint Masters of Nurse Midwifery and Public Health from Columbia University, in 1991, Lisa expanded her expertise in providing primary mental health care to women of all ages, alongside midwifery care. Over the past 10 years, Lisa has gained experience providing mental health care to children and adults, culminating in her becoming a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Lisa will provide judicious medication management for clients of all ages and offer brief therapy utilizing a variety of techniques, as indicated, for depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship struggles, trauma, and loss. Lisa’s practice provides tools to strengthen coping skills and resilience for life challenges with a special focus on mindfulness practices. Lisa will be accepting new clients as of March 18, 2019.
